God appoints authorities

A number of countries are facing elections that will have significant impact in their future. Scripture teaches that it is God who appoints rulers and authorities. Pray for India, Egypt, and Tunisia as they face elections this year. As parties prepare, as authorities prepare, as the people prepare, as the Church in those lands prepare, ask God to be at work doing things we cannot imagine. For some these are times of significant transition, for some more extreme elements seem to be seeking to place themselves where they can shape the future of the nation. There will be implications for God’s people, and for the nation. Cry out to God for mercy.
