people stranded in remote villages in a disaster that is testing the government’s limited relief operations.
According to a director at the social welfare ministry, “Most of the country is flooded now,” and rescue efforts by authorities and local aid groups were under way, but they are “struggling to access flood-hit areas”.
As of Sunday, there was no update to Thursday’s death toll of 27 due to disrupted communications.
- Pray for Myanmar, for those devasted by the floods and for the many who have been left homeless.
- Pray for the rescue operations to be able to get aid to those who need it most and for flood waters to subside quickly.
- Pray for Christians and for the Myanmar Church to be able to show compassion and help those in need. Pray for many to be touched with the Love of God and find hope and life in Christ.
